Can Brick2Brick UK take out a wall?
Yes, often. In July 2023 the team removed a wall, fitted a steel and blocked up old windows and doors. In November 2023 they took out a wall and a cupboard and fitted a steel to make a kitchen-diner: see the knock-through, stage by stage. In April 2025 a knock-through made room for the fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer; Stuart’s review of that job is below. And in 2025 a customer had a couple of walls taken out to reshape the downstairs into a kitchen-diner; that review is below.
A wall that holds up the house needs a steel sized by a structural engineer, and the work may need building regulations approval, so check with building control.

Does Brick2Brick UK convert garages?
Yes. In November 2025 the team finished turning a garage in Longbridge into a utility room and shower room: see the Longbridge garage conversion. Another garage conversion was finished in April 2025, and a third was under way in December 2025.

Does Brick2Brick UK refurbish whole houses?
Yes, for homeowners and for landlords. In early 2026 the team turned a three-bedroom house in Shard End into four flats for a regular client, bringing it up to regulations and painting it ready to let.
In Longbridge, a refurb finished in March 2026 took in the hall, a new room with a herringbone floor and a bathroom. Another Longbridge refurb in May and June took in a wide range of work: the team kept going without mains electricity while waiting for the supply to be connected, and handed it over in June.
In July 2026 a kitchen refurb in Kings Norton was finished for handover, with the customer asking the team to price more work.
What smaller alterations does the team do?
Recent examples:
- Blocking up a doorway and forming a new opening (July 2025).
- A stud partition to split a room, insulated and boarded for the plasterer (February 2026).
- Cutting out a wall for a metal frame and door (August 2023).
- Taking out a window and bricking up for a new one to suit a new staircase (May 2023).
- Cutting down part of a porch for a new double-glazed porch and a new flat roof (November 2023).
- Stripping and relaying flat roofs (October 2023 and January 2024).
- Fitting a roof window and finishing a roof that another company had left (January 2024).
- A bathroom stripped out and refitted with a new suite, flooring, plastering, lighting and cladding (December 2023).
Are fire and flood repairs renovation work too?
