Fencing by Fence2Fence UK
Fence2Fence UK puts up close-board fencing with concrete posts and concrete gravel boards. Same team as Brick2Brick UK. Launched February 2026 as its sister company.

What fencing does Fence2Fence UK put up?
Fence2Fence UK’s fences are close-board: overlapping feather-edge boards with no gaps between them, set between slotted concrete posts, with concrete gravel boards along the bottom.

How a close-board run is laid out
Why concrete posts and gravel boards?
Concrete posts do not rot where they meet the ground, which is the part of a timber post most at risk, and they are set in concrete so they stay upright. Gravel boards keep the fence boards off the soil so they can dry out, and a damaged bottom board can be replaced without touching the rest of the fence.
The close-board fencing guide compares close-board with panels and concrete with timber posts, and explains how a new fence goes in.

Where can you see Fence2Fence UK’s fencing?
In September 2026 Fence2Fence UK put up a new close-board fence with concrete posts and gravel boards, the last stage of a Worcestershire job. The extension, patio and fence page has the photos and the full story.

Can the fence be part of a bigger job?
Yes. On a Worcestershire job finished in September 2026, Fence2Fence UK put up the new fence after Brick2Brick UK had built the extension and the multi-level patio for the same regular customer. See the extension, patio and fence.
Great work by our sister company FENCE2FENCE UK on this brand new fence installation in Worcestershire
Do fences come into insurance work?
Yes. In January 2024, before Fence2Fence UK was set up, the team reinstated a fence on the Old Birmingham Road after a car crashed into it, and rebuilt the wall beside it. See insurance work.

Do you need planning permission for a fence?
Usually not. A fence can be up to 2 metres high from ground level without planning permission, or up to 1 metre next to a highway used by vehicles or its footpath. Listed buildings, Article 4 directions and planning conditions change that. Wooden fences are not party walls, so the Party Wall Act does not apply. See the height rules guide.

What customers say
Liam and his team came and built our extension on our property and removed bushes from garden and installed new fence. Liam and his team were polite, clean, friendly, always on time and nothing was too much trouble. Liam was always there to help guide my wife and I throughout the build. We couldn't recommend Liam and his team enough 5☆. They definitely are the best 100%. We definitely will be Brick2Brick in the future. Thankyou again
